I was first introduced to chiropractic care in high school after a crushing football injury. The injury left me with severe neck pain and a numb right arm. At the time football was my life, but it was not worth continuing and risking further injury or even permanent damage. The day after my injury I told my father that I was done playing football for the year. Hearing this and knowing how much football meant to me, he took me to see his chiropractor. At that time, I didn’t even know what a chiropractor was. But if my father said we were going, we were going. The chiropractor consulted with me, did a very thorough examination, and then adjusted my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt and I could feel the difference right away.
He adjusted me two more times throughout the course of the next week and by the next game I was ready to go, without the neck pain and numb right arm. Needless to say, I was very impressed. I continued to get adjusted before and after every game for the rest of the season. And I finished the season without re-injuring my neck or without any relapses of the neck and arm symptoms.
A couple of years later, I was a pre-med student at the
University of North Dakota and developed a painful hand condition known
as “carpal tunnel syndrome.” To make this story a little shorter, chiropractic
helped to relieve my problem again. It was at this time that I decided to
investigate the inner workings of this profession a little more closely. I read
books, reviewed research journals, and talked to local chiropractors. What I
found was a simple philosophy, science, and art to help people heal and to keep
people functioning at their best. It made sense to me. So much sense that I
decided against going to medical school and enrolled at the
Palmer College of Chiropractic instead.
During my time at Chiropractic College I learned far more about
chiropractic’s role at improving health than I could have ever imagined. I
learned that it could help people of all ages resolve a variety of health
conditions (not just backaches), naturally without drugs or surgery. I also
learned that it could help people of all ages prevent poor health and maintain
good health throughout the course of their lives. I took this information with
me when I started my own private practice back in May of 1999 and I continue to
utilize it today.
Currently, I run a small single doctor practice. I do this so
that I can provide more one on one service to my patients, handle all aspects
of my patient’s care, and keep my fees at a
reasonable level. I pride myself on educating my patients about chiropractic
care, offering advice on how my patients can get the most out of chiropractic
care, and utilize the most advanced diagnostic equipment and the most effective
adjusting techniques so that my patients can get the best results from
chiropractic care.
Because chiropractic care has helped me so much, I have dedicated my life to
helping others with chiropractic care. This includes my wife, my 6-year-old
daughter, my friends, and members of my community. It is a truly rewarding job
(if you can call it that). I invite you to surf this website so that you can
find out a little more about chiropractic care and my office. If the
information I provided makes sense to you and you want to find out if
chiropractic and my specific methods may be able to help you, call my office
and we can set up a complementary consultation. You’ll have
nothing to lose and possibly a better, more productive life to gain.
Warmly,
Christopher J. Sande, DC
